New Colief Baby Scalp Oil (rrp £5.99) contains naturally derived ingredients to gently moisturise and soothe the symptoms of cradle cap, says manufacturer Forum Health Products.

By massaging the oil into the baby’s skin, the hydrating oil is quickly absorbed to help soften and clear the scalp of flakes and scales. Suitable from three months, the ingredients include rosehip oil to hydrate the skin, chamomile for its calming properties and vitamin E to repair and protect the skin.
