Cardiovascular disease

This module aims to provide an overview of cardiovascular disease, its treatments and how to help prevent it.

Learning objectives:

After reading this module, pharmacy technicians will be able to 

• Understand what cardiovascular disease is, its risk factors and risk assessment
• Have a knowledge of which cardiovascular treatments would be discussed in targeted cardiovascular MURs
• Raise awareness of how to prevent cardiovascular disease, including the use of NHS Health Checks.
