Nominations are now open for the 2016 annual Flu Fighter Awards, which celebrate the hard work of healthcare teams in fighting the flu virus across England and Wales.

Pharmacists, pharmacy teams and LPCs are welcome to enter the awards in the category that most suits them. The categories include:

• Flu fighter champion
• Best flu fighter team
• #flufighter award for digital and social media
• Innovative flu fighter campaign
• Most improved flu fighter campaign
• Flu fighter carers’ award
• Best residential care flu fighter award.

Nominations close on Monday 15 February 2016. Those shortlisted for the English awards will be invited to an awards ceremony in Leeds on Tuesday 22 March 2016. Last year, Newland Community Pharmacy in Hull won the flu fighter carers’ award.
