Good luck Leanne!

Leanne Beverley, ACT at Monarch Pharmacy in Coventry, is embarking on an epic 260- mile charity cycle ride across Rajasthan in India this November.

Leanne, who won both the Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award and the Spotlight Award in TM’s Recognition of Excellence Awards last year, and was a judge in this year’s Awards, will be pedalling through tough terrain in humid conditions, in the hope of raising thousands of pounds for good causes. Donations will be split between Polio Plus, which aims to eradicate polio across the world, and Rotary Club of Coventry Jubilee Charities, which include local hospices, food banks and initiatives supporting disabled youngsters and elderly people.

So far, Leanne has raised £700 from donations and the generous sponsorship of Lexon Pharmaceuticals, and she will be holding several Indian-themed fundraising events throughout the summer. “I’ll be pedalling in temperatures of over 30ºC. Tough? Especially when I don’t normally cycle and have never owned a bike before this challenge was accepted!” says Leanne.
