It's good to talk

Understanding different conditions and products available is important, but communication is key to giving the best possible service.

While understanding different conditions and the products that treat them is very important, communication is the key to giving the best possible service.

Communication skills are important for all pharmacy support staff because you have to communicate every day with many different types of people. These range from customers to doctors and their receptionists to company reps – and, of course, your colleagues.

Like all those working in a healthcare environment, you need to develop advanced communication skills because of the nature of your work and the special demands placed on you.
