LloydsPharmacy has won the Safety in Supply Chain award at the 2017 Retail Week Supply Chain Awards.

The patient safety programme – SaferCare – was recognised for its protection of colleagues and patients throughout the supply chain. Launched in 2013 across 1,800 stores, SaferCare involves assessments of safety and risk throughout the supply chain, looking at the pharmacy environment, dispensing process and the transportation and delivery of medicines.

Victoria Steele, LloydsPharmacy’s head of clinical governance and professional standards, said: “I am so proud that the team has been recognised for the positive impact our SaferCare initiative is having.”
