This Service Excellence module is about meeting the needs of customers with disabilities. It will consider the communication, store layout and medication services you need to think about in order to cater for these customers visiting your pharmacy.

Objectives

After studying this module you should:

  • Have a greater understanding of how to effectively communicate with customers with disabilities
  • Be aware of the accessibility of your store
  • Have an understanding of the medication and dispensing services that might be of benefit to these customers.

About this module

This module is suitable for all members of the pharmacy team who wish to increase their communication skills. This module has been endorsed with the NPA’s Training Seal as suitable for use by pharmacy teams as part of their ongoing learning.
