The Government has introduced an extra mandatory requisition form to the process of ordering Schedule 2 and 3 Controlled Drugs (CD) in the community.

The change applies to England, Scotland and Wales, but healthcare professionals in Scotland and Wales should continue to use their own CD requisition forms, while a new form – TP10CDF – has been introduced in England. The requirement will take effect from 30 November under the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001, and is the final recommendation of the Shipman Inquiry to ensure all CD stock purchases within the community can be monitored.
