Numark training programme reaches new heights

Numark has recorded 800 new subscriptions for its free Counter Excellence training programme following the addition of new core modules.

Published earlier this year, the new modules for medicines counter assistants cover subjects that related to the General Pharmaceutical Council’s (GPhC) premises standards and accompany the existing condition-based modules.

Elley Hamer, Numark’s learning and development coordinator said: “The unprecedented demand for the new Counter Excellence modules is testament to concerns independent pharmacists have about premise inspections.”

The new modules highlight topics that may be covered during these inspections such as safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, antibacterial resistance and the medicines sales protocol.

“An added advantage of the core modules is that they can be used as part of induction training as well as an on-going source of reference,” explained Ms Hamer.
