PAGB partners NHS winter campaign

PAGB has announced its partnership with NHS England and Public Health England’s (PHE) recently launched ‘Stay Well This Winter’ campaign.

Working with PHE, PAGB has used experience and learning from its previous ‘Treat Yourself Better’ campaigns to inform the development of ‘Stay Well This Winter’, which aims to communicate how to manage winter ailments and use NHS services appropriately, including visiting local pharmacies for seasonal health problems.

PAGB has produced a leaflet – When will I feel better? – to support the campaign, which explains how long people can expect cough and cold symptoms to last, what they can do to get better and the warning signs that might mean they need to seek professional advice.

John Smith, PAGB's CEO, commented: “PAGB is delighted to be a partner in the NHS campaign which will deliver a clear message to people about self care and managing winter ailments… PAGB had been calling on the Government to implement national public education campaigns on self care to ensure one message is consistently delivered at the national and local level, as we believe this is more effective than numerous different campaigns trying to communicate the same message in different ways.”
