You are likely to see a range of skin and nail conditions in the pharmacy, and many customers won’t realise that topical fungal infections might be the cause. Most of these conditions are common and can be easily treated with appropriate products.
Fungal infections thrive in warm, moist environments. While they are contagious, fungal infections are easy to treat.
Objectives
This module will tell you how to:
- Recognise the symptoms of a range of skin and nail conditions caused by fungal infection
- Understand the actions and uses of different types of treatments available
- Offer additional advice to the customer to manage the different conditions
