Well unveils new retail concept

Well has launched ‘The Pharmacy Shop’, a new retail concept designed to meet the health and wellbeing needs of today’s customers.

Based on extensive market research and feedback, the pharmacy group has introduced a new look store and developed its product ranges, including introducing wearable technology, to help customers not only get well but keep well. A free-of-charge health kiosk gives on-the-spot health checks, including blood pressure, BMI, weight and body fat measurements, in four minutes. Customers can then discuss their results with the pharmacist.

A new suite of training modules has been launched alongside the new concept to help staff adapt and continue to support customers. Emma Smith, head of retail and marketing at Well, said: “Pharmacy is at the heart of modern day Britain and we want our new ‘store of the future’ concept to be the fresh new face of pharmacy.”

The concept launched in Highgate, London, and a further 11 trial stores are planned for 2016.
