NPA to hold pharmacy cuts webinar

As part of its efforts to help pharmacies understand and manage the impact of the Department of Health’s cuts to community pharmacy, the National Pharmacy Association (NPA) is holding a webinar on 28 April.

The webinar – Cuts and Efficiencies: The Facts – will scrutinise the Department of Health proposals and help pharmacies make fact-based judgements about their future business and practice.

Amongst other topics, the session will cover:

  • What does six per cent really mean?
  • What has the Government actually said about closures?
  • Is hub and spoke safer, as the Government claims?
  • Are there too many pharmacies (international comparisons, needs based assessments)?
  • Am I in a cluster of pharmacies, and is this a bad thing?
  • Are the Government’s proposals driven by patient demand?
  • Is the Support Your Local Pharmacy campaign having an effect?

There will also be the opportunity to ask questions live to the webinar presenters, including host Fin McCaul, NPA Board Member Mike Hewitson, NPA Public Affairs Manager Gareth Jones and NPA chairman Ian Strachan.

Registration is free and can be completed at: www.npa.co.uk/events.
