An estimated one in six people is now affected by blepharitis  – an uncomfortable and potentially sight-threatening condition characterised by crusty deposits around the lashes, gritty and painful eyes and irritation around the eyelids. Yet a survey for Bausch + Lomb shows many people in the UK are unaware of the condition and its risks. Only 26 per cent were aware of blepharitis and 40 per cent had no idea how to manage it.
