Applications for the latest cohort of the Mary Seacole Leadership Programme are now open, with more coming soon, says CPPE

CPPE is delighted to announce that it is once again working in collaboration with the NHS Leadership Academy to deliver the 10 latest cohorts of the Mary Seacole Leadership Programme for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians working in community pharmacy.

Allowing for integration

The NHS Long Term Plan offers opportunities for pharmacy professionals to become more integrated into the wider NHS. The Mary Seacole Leadership Programme is a six-month leadership development programme with 12 units of study. This NHS-led flagship programme is designed to maximise clinical leadership and management skills in the community pharmacy workforce to enable participants to drive quality services and really make a difference to the health of the patients they see.

Places are fully funded by the Pharmacy Integration Fund and are available in various regions across the country for those working in community pharmacy. The programme aims to help pharmacy professionals recognise their own personal value to the healthcare of people and embed behaviours that improve the patient experience. Working as a team is now more important than ever before and participants will learn how to enable others
to be the best they can be in the workplace.

The programme will provide a fantastic opportunity to network with professionals from other sectors of healthcare, as these cohorts have been opened to a multidisciplinary audience.
