BBI Healthcare has launched ‘Sugar Tax – The Facts’, a campaign which aims to educate pharmacy teams about the sugar tax and its impact for diabetic patients in the run up to World Diabetes Day (14 November). As brands reduce the sugar content of their products, including those regularly used by people with diabetes to manage hypos, patients will need to consume considerably more to get the same benefi t, the company explains. BBI Healthcare has produced a toolkit, distributed by AAH, to aid pharmacy teams with consultations, which includes a poster, educational leave piece, consultation aid and shelf edge wobbler.
