Pharmacy technicians invited onto PPE panel
The Department of Health and Social Care has invited pharmacy technicians and dispensing staff to join a panel that was set up to assess the effectiveness of personal protective equipment and get feedback from users.
The panel, which meets for one hour online each month, has been listening to the experiences of pharmacists and their teams on the quality of the equipment that has been ordered from the government's PPE portal.
The DHSC now wants to involve pharmacy technicians and dispensing staff and is keen to hear what they think about the PPE they have been using.
The PSNC said the panel will “give end user customers the opportunity to speak on behalf of their peers about their experiences of Covid-19 PPE supplied by DHSC by providing a front-line perspective.”
The negotiator said the DHSC will use all feedback “to inform central analysis and improvement plans.”
