Making the grade with NPA

Five pharmacy technicians have been presented with certificates after passing the newly accredited National Pharmacy Association (NPA) Accuracy in Dispensing (AID) course.

The course “equips technicians with the knowledge and skills necessary to allow them to check dispensed items with high accuracy and confidence,” said Alan Zangana, education and training pharmacist at the NPA. Previously, Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technicians (ACPTs) were required to re-accredit their qualification every two years, but following revalidation changes, this is no longer a requirement from the General Pharmaceutical Council for registered ACPTs.
