Frontline Plus is the most advanced formula within the Frontline flea and tick range, says manufacturer Merial Animal Health. It contains two active ingredients: fipronil, which kills fleas and ticks, and (S)-methoprene, an insect growth regulator that prevents the multiplication of fleas. Most other flea products only kill fleas living on the pet, but Frontline Plus stops eggs from hatching and infesting the home, the company adds. Perrigo has launched a comprehensive back-to-school marketing programme for Lyclear Treatment Shampoo to coincide with the 2018 back-to-school season, including a four-week TV campaign and new website. The new and improved formula contains conditioning agents that wash hair while also eliminating head lice and eggs, removing the need to use traditional shampoo after use, Perrigo explains. Each bottle contains enough formulation for up to four treatments and, as it is a non-pesticide, head lice are less likely to develop a resistance to the product, the company adds. Perrigo will supply educational material to pharmacies, including a training guide, wall chart and in-store POS.

The Puressentiel range of 100 per cent natural head lice treatments are clinically proven to treat lice in minutes without worry, side effects and nasty chemicals, the company explains.
