GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has launched a larger pack size of its Nicotinell Lozenges to sit alongside the brand’s existing product portfolio. Now available in a 204 pack size, GSK hopes that the product will benefit customers in terms of packs lasting longer and offering better value per lozenge. The launch will be supported with POS, as well as digital activity including branded display banners and iVideos on social media channels, explains the company. Nicotinell Lozenges can be purchased in two strengths, 1mg for light smokers and 2mg for those smoking 20-30 a day, both with a fresh, minty taste, GSK adds.

Perrigo is launching a new NiQuitin marketing campaign led by real-life quitters for this year’s Stoptober, which will be supported with a spend of £1.2 million. A central focus of the campaign will be NiQuitin’s new TV advert which will feature a testimonial creative focusing on smokers who have successfully quit using NiQuitin. Running from 17 September to 29 October, the television advert will be supported with out-of-home and digital activity. NiQuitin’s campaign encourages pharmacy teams to set their pharmacy up for success this Stoptober and will include free NiQuitin Quit Kits.

EllaOne is the most effective oral emergency contraception at preventing pregnancy in the first 24 hours after unprotected sex and should be taken as soon as possible after unprotected sexual intercourse, says manufacturer HRA Pharma. The treatment is a single tablet containing 30mg of ulipristal acetate to be taken orally as soon as possible, but no later than five days after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure, HRA Pharma continues. EllaOne is suitable for the vast majority of women regardless of their weight.
