Typharm has announced the OTC launch of Docusol Paediatric Solution, a liquid oral treatment for the effective and gentle relief of constipation in children and babies over six months.

The strawberry flavoured solution contains docusate sodium, which makes stools softer and easier to pass by increasing absorption of water and fats, as well as acting as a gentle stimulant, explains the company. Docusol Paediatric Solution should be mixed with a flavoured drink such as milk or fruit juice and consumed within 30 minutes. It gets to work within one to three days and also works with the child’s natural digestive system to help prevent the constipation from returning. (RRP £7.99.)
