Deep Relief is returning to the small screen over seven weeks from mid-February to 7 April 2019. The advert, featuring the Deep Relief guru, gave sales a huge boost on its first two outings last year, which saw sales up 17.9 per cent in the 52 weeks to 3 November 2018. The topical NSAID sector grew just one per cent in the same period, says manufacturer Mentholatum. Deep Relief contains two painkilling ingredients (ibuprofen and levomenthol), has anti-inflammatory action, offers fast-acting pain relief and, according to clinical trials, delivers superior relief to ibuprofen only gel, the company adds.
