Coeliac UK seeks missing half a million

Coeliac UK has launched a new online tool to help find the half a million Britons living with undiagnosed coeliac disease. The online assessment is part of the charity’s new two-year campaign ‘Is it coeliac disease?’, which launched this month and is supported by Coeliac UK’s new patron, actress Caroline Quentin. Based on NICE guidelines, the questionnaire is intended to give people who are experiencing possible symptoms of coeliac disease the confidence to seek further medical advice from their GP.

It can be found via the dedicated website – isitcoeliacdisease.org.uk – alongside information about the condition and the campaign’s activities. Caroline Quentin, who is in the process of being diagnosed with coeliac disease, said: “Coeliac UK’s campaign to reach the half a million people still undiagnosed with coeliac disease really resonates with me because I struggled for years with constant stomach pains.”
