EPS masterclasses for pharmacy staff

The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) is offering free training sessions to help community pharmacy staff get the most out of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).

Over 800 evening masterclasses will be held throughout England until the end of June 2016 and are available to counter staff, dispensing technicians, pharmacists and locums. All staff members are strongly encouraged to attend a session even if they have already been trained on EPS, to enable them to use the system effectively and to prepare for EPS becoming the default prescribing process in the future. The training has also been endorsed by the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) and attendance counts towards continued professional development.

Sessions are tailored specifically to the patient medical record (PMR) system that staff use and at least one session for each PMR system will be held in each LPC area.

For more information and to book a place on the masterclass, click here or call the HSCIC’s contact centre on 0300 303 5678.
