The British Dietetic Association (BDA) has announced that the theme of office for its new chairman Dr Fiona McCullough is ‘workplace health’.

Responding to recent policies such as the NHS Five Year Forward View and NICE public health guidance for the workplace, the BDA is conducting a review of published peerreviewed workplace health studies to present findings on effective nutrition interventions, which will underpin the development of the BDA Work Ready Programme.

It will also publish a paper outlining the crucial role of nutrition and activity in preventing long-term conditions, driving productivity and reducing sickness absence.
