Omnicell UK, provider of medication adherence packaging and automated healthcare solutions, has launched a new campaign – ‘Adherence: Let’s take care of it’ – to highlight the scale of the waste caused by medication non-adherence. An opinion poll on patient attitudes to medication and adherence run by the company found that one in five British adults admit to missing a round of daily medication and only half of adults tell a healthcare professional when they fail to complete a course of medication. Omnicell hopes to address these issues and push adherence to the top of the health agenda. It’s appealing for people to pledge their support for the adherence campaign.
