PSNC has highlighted pharmacy’s key role in caring for people with asthma, following new research which shows that thousands of asthma sufferers are not in control of their condition.

One year on from the National Review of Asthma Deaths (NRAD), new research from Asthma UK has discovered that more than 22,000 people with asthma in the UK have been prescribed medicines in an unsafe and potentially lifethreatening manner, while 90,000 people in England have uncontrolled asthma which is not being monitored by healthcare professionals.
