Mair Davies has been honoured with the 2014 Special Recognition Award at the sixth Welsh Pharmacy Awards for her outstanding contribution to community pharmacy.

Mair was appointed chair of the Welsh Pharmacy Board in 2011. She works as an educational consultant for the Welsh Centre for Pharmacy Professional Education (WCPPE) at Cardiff University, and was made a Fellow of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) last year. Jocelyn Parkes, director for RPS Wales, congratulated Mair on her award, saying: “Mair has demonstrated a passion for professionalism that never fails to come across whenever she talks about pharmacy. I am proud of what she has achieved on behalf of the profession, particularly in the areas of leadership and pharmacy education.”
