It is estimated that one in four people will suffer from an allergy at some point in their lives. This means that you are sure to come across plenty of requests for advice and products to treat allergies in the pharmacy.
Allergies can affect some sufferers all year round, but pharmacies should expect increased demand during the spring and summer months when hayfever peaks.
Objectives

- Recognise the possible causes and symptoms of different types of allergy
- Understand the actions and uses of different types of treatments available
