Coeliac UK has announced that Caroline Quentin is its new patron. The actress and TV personality will support the charity’s campaign to find the estimated half a million people who suffer from coeliac disease but are undiagnosed. Caroline’s involvement in the campaign comes as she completes her own diagnosis journey: “I’m delighted to become the charity’s patron and to help those, like myself, who have been in the dark too long about the cause of their pain and discomfort.”

The campaign launches on 11 May as part of Coeliac Awareness Week and will run throughout 2015 and 2016, highlighting the most common symptoms of coeliac disease and the risks of suffering undiagnosed. Information and advice is available at: www.isitcoeliacdisease.org.
