A new initiative to support community pharmacy in the delivery of the pharmacy flu vaccination service has been launched by Pharmacy Complete.

The short programme provides the knowledge, confidence and motivation for members of the pharmacy team to engage more fully in the pharmacy flu vaccination service, put together a flu campaign, recruit people and provide administrative and operational support to the pharmacist. 

Flu Champions can manage much of the service and support the team to be the best they can be, leaving the pharmacist to complete the clinical assessment and vaccinate.

Designed for healthcare assistants, health champions, dispensing assistants and technicians, the distance-learning course involves around four hours of dedicated learning time with an online assessment, certification for successful learners and a Flu Champion badge.
