With the range of milks available – both formula milks and other milks, such as almond, soya and goats milk – it can be confusing for parents to understand how much, and what type of milk is suitable for their growing toddler’s needs.
Consider the following questions for your CPD:
- When would you refer someone to their health visitor or GP?
- Are you familiar with the different types of milks and who might use them?
- How can you research the differences in the milks and their nutritional content?
- What advice would you give to parents that are considering vegan or vegetarian diets for their child?
