Educate

Once you have answered the patient’s questions, you should offer information in a relevant way. 

You may also be able to weave in education about the patient’s clinical condition and their medication.

You can support the “explore” questions with information, using the "ask, share, ask" method:

• "What do you already know about this medicine?"
• "Would it be helpful if I shared some information I have about the medicine?"
• "What do you think about that?” or “What other questions do you have?"

Once you’ve provided the information the patient wants, you can move onto the next stage.
