  • Asthma: diagnosis, monitoring and chronic asthma management 

This guideline update covers diagnosing, monitoring and managing asthma in adults, young people and children, and aims to reduce asthma attacks by helping people to control their asthma, as well as improving diagnosis. This links in well with checking inhaler technique and developing a personalised action plan that includes advice on air pollution.

  • Headaches in over 12s: diagnosis and management 

This guideline covers advice on the diagnosis and management of tension-type headache, migraine, cluster headache and medication overuse headache in young people (aged 12 years and older) and adults. This is especially important when responding to symptoms and aims to improve the recognition and management of headaches, with more targeted treatment to improve the quality of life for people with headaches, and to reduce unnecessary investigations.

  • Acne vulgaris: management 

This guideline covers the management of acne vulgaris in primary and specialist care and comprises advice on topical and oral treatments as well as physical modalities and how acne vulgaris impacts mental health.
