Welcome to the fourth module in our series looking at Dementia. It is based on the Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) focal point programme on Dementia, and is designed to give pharmacy technicians an overview and better understanding of this area of practice.

Learning objectives

• Understand the ways in which people with dementia can be supported in the pharmacy
• Be aware of the importance of a dementia-friendly environment
• Know the psychosocial and environmental interventions for people living with dementia
• Be able to help reduce inappropriate use of antipsychotics in dementia.
