To encourage more people with asthma, diabetes and heart disease to get vaccinated against flu this season, Sanofi Pasteur has partnered with ‘at-risk ambassadors’ – former Olympian Roger Black, singer Amelia Lily and TV presenter Matt Johnson – to raise awareness of the importance of the flu vaccination for those with underlying health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes and asthma. This comes after less than half (48.9 per cent) of UK under 65s who were eligible to receive a free flu vaccination on the NHS due to an underlying health condition were vaccinated during the 2017/18 season.
