Bio-Oil has launched its first new product in 30 years – an innovative gel to tackle dry skin. By replacing water with oil, Bio-Oil Dry Skin Gel forms a protective matrix on the skin to lock in moisture, says the company. The formulation also comprises naturally occurring humectants such as urea, lactic acid and sodium PCA, which help keep the skin moisturised, Bio-Oil adds. The gel formula does not block pores and can be used on sensitive skin, although it is not designed to treat eczema.
