Help customers to breathe better
According to the World Health Organization, 91 per cent of people lives in places where air quality guidelines are not met. Air pollution is linked to several respiratory conditions, including COPD and asthma, and its impact is a growing problem. Health experts at the GSK Clean Breathing Institute (CBI) are therefore calling on pharmacy teams to support a ‘Breathe Better’ pledge.
“There is an urgent need to address air pollution for its devastating effects on the environment and global warming, but also for the direct threats it poses to the health of individuals and communities,” says the CBI. “Share your commitment with colleagues and friends to raise awareness of the impact of air pollution, identify and reduce risk factors and provide supportive services in your community. Share the images on social media and pledge your commitment.”
