When to refer to the pharmacist

• Anyone taking medication or who has a medical condition
• Anyone under 16 or over 60 years of age
• Customers who are pregnant or breastfeeding
• Those who have had four or more episodes of thrush in the past 12 months
• If it is the customer’s first episode
• If there is bleeding after intercourse or between periods
• If the customer is experiencing heavier-than-normal periods
• If the sufferer is male
• If there is difficulty or pain when passing urine
• If there is pain in the lower abdomen
• If the customer has diarrhoea, nausea, fever, smelly discharge or discharge that has changed colour.
