Combination products
Many corticosteroid and longacting B2 receptor agonist combination products are available, such as Seretide, Symbicort and Fostair. The British Guideline on the Management of Asthma says that where good compliance exists, there is no clinical difference between the combination or individual inhalers. However, the guideline states that combination products should be used where compliance is questioned to guarantee that the long-acting B2 receptor agonist is taken with the corticosteroid and to improve adherence.
