module menu icon Exercise induced asthma

Exercise induced asthma can be a symptom of poorly controlled asthma, so whenever this is presented, the patient's inhaler technique and compliance should be assessed. The patient should be advised to use their short-acting B2 agonist before exercise to reduce airway resistance. If this persists, the patient should be referred to their GP.
