Introduction
This brand new series aims to give you the tools to take a person-centred dermatological clinical history, and recognise the typical signs and symptoms of some common skin conditions, starting with impetigo.
Impetigo is a common and highly contagious bacterial skin infection. In the UK, it is the most common skin infection seen in young children, but it can affect people of all ages.1 There are two types of impetigo: non-bullous impetigo (the most common type) and bullous impetigo.2
