Scenario
Customer Angela, aged 20, is talking to pharmacy technician Vicky. “I’ve been offered a place at uni from September,” says Angela. “Delaying going by a year was definitely the right thing to do when dad was so unwell. It’s been a difficult year, but he is on the mend, and I love studying, so it feels like this could be just the fresh start I need.”
“That’s fantastic, Angela, I’m so pleased for you,” says Vicky. “Make sure you come and see us before you go off, won’t you? Oh, and don’t forget to get your meningitis jab done before you start.”
“Of course,” replies Angela. “But don’t worry about the meningitis injection – I’m pretty sure I had that when I was a kid. My mum was very particular about ensuring we got all the vaccines we needed.”
