Michael Holden is stepping down as National Pharmacy Association (NPA) chief executive to pursue other opportunities, the NPA Board of Management has announced. During his four years in the role, Mike helped to introduce improvements to the NPA membership offering as well as refocusing the Association towards the independent pharmacy sector.
Thanking the NPA team, Mike said: €The past four years have been an enjoyable challenge and I believe the NPA is in a stronger position to support members as a result of our work in that period.€ He added that he would €remain committed to working with others to enhance the sustainable role of community pharmacy in improving the health and wellbeing of the population.€
Ian Strachan, chairman of the NPA Board, thanked Mike for his €dedication and contribution to the NPA over the past four years€ and wished him well for the future.
