Nelsons staff receive a royal visitor

Staff at Nelsons, the manufacturer of natural healthcare products, were joined by HRH The Duchess of Cornwall during a charity day held to support The Havens, an organisation supporting people who have been raped or sexually assaulted.

During the event, volunteers made up 400 wash kits with donated toiletries from several health and beauty companies to be sent to The Havens support centres across London and handed out to those who turn to them for support, advice and treatment.

The Duchess of Cornwall originally came up with the idea for the wash kits and has had a longstanding commitment to victims of rape and sexual abuse. During the visit to Nelsons, The Duchess of Cornwall spent time with Nelsons staff, toured the manufacturing facility and packed one of the wash-kits herself.

Robert Wilson, Nelsons chairman commented: €It is our pleasure to support such an important local service. Between Nelsons Charitable Trust and our fundraising staff, we are able to help charities in the UK and abroad and following the opportunity to assist this year, we will continue to support The Havens by packing wash-bags on an on-going basis.€
