Omnicell UK and Rowlands Pharmacy have launched this year’s ‘Let’s Take Care of It’ campaign to help address medication non-adherence and raise awareness of the importance of people taking their medicines. This comes in response to new research – released as part of National Medication Adherence Week (3-9 July) – which found that 93 per cent of pharmacists and their staff believe patients don’t understand the impact of medication non-adherence, despite nearly 200,000 deaths occurring each year due to missed doses of medication.
The campaign will be supported with specially produced educational leaflets and display posters for both patients and carers in all Rowlands pharmacies.
