Clement Clarke International is launching a new type of spacer device, specially designed for young children who are learning the breathing techniques necessary for receiving the optimum amount of medication when using an inhaler and spacer device. The ‘Able Spacer’ has a whistle embedded into the mask, which makes a sound when the mask’s fit is correct and the technique has been mastered. An animated game (free to download for iPhone and Android) linked to the whistle sound is being launched alongside the device, to help children accept it.
