A new survey of mums and pharmacy staff, commissioned by Nurofen for Children, has revealed that despite 57 per cent of families using their local pharmacy as a key destination for products or prescriptions, only one in 10 mums cite health advice as their main reason for visiting the pharmacy. The research suggests that while 90 per cent of mums surveyed trusted their local pharmacy for health advice, they were more likely to turn to their GP or even family and friends for child health advice. Eighty-five per cent felt wider services would encourage them to visit pharmacy more, with 34 per cent wanting a dedicated consultation space and 28 per cent wanting more accessible pharmacy staff.
