OTC pain relief brand Voltarol is basking in its success following a stellar 2013 and is hoping to build on its achievements by investing further in 2014, says manufacturer Novartis. 2013 was a busy year for the brand, with the launch of Voltarol 12 Hour Emulgel P 2.32%, a rise on the OTC brands charts and multiple industry awards for the number one topical brand, explains the company, which puts its success, in part, down to the products' ease of use and effectiveness.

€More people now buy Voltarol in pharmacies than any other topical pain product,€ says David Healey, head of independent pharmacy at Novartis OTC. €With demand set to keep on increasing, we want to ensure pharmacists are kept as up-to-date as possible, and we're planning on launching new initiatives in the near future.€
