Record learning outcomes

We all know December is the most demanding month for the community pharmacy network. While many wind down for the festive break, pharmacy teams do the opposite, shouldering that surge in prescription numbers and delivering frontline NHS care at a time when the wider system feels the strain most acutely – not helped by the highest number of flu cases in years.

It has not been an easy year – when is it ever? – but once again pharmacies have delivered for patients and their local communities. So feel some satisfaction and pride in a job well done – and hope that 2026 will be the year that puts pharmacies on firmer ground financially, able to take on the challenges of the 10 Year Plan in England and the opportunities in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
